Getting to Valdivia

LACLO 2013 will be held in the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh), Campus Miraflores, located in Valdivia city.


Valdivia  is 840 Kms., to south of Santiago.

Some tips

    • You must remove your luggage in Santiago, because Valdivia has no international airport.
    • In Chile only Chilean Pesos can be used ( 1 USD is around 500 CLP).  There is a money exchange office in the 3er floor of the airport.  Also, there are several ATM.

For arrive to Valdivia from the airport, there are two ways.

  1. By Air: There are two airlines: Lan Chile and Aerolineas Sky. In their web pages you can ask for prices and schedules.
  2. By Bus: The trip take 11 hours.There are several companies, some of they are: Tur BusJAC, Los Conquistadores, Cruz del Sur, Tas Choapa, etc.
    TurBus have buses every 30 minutes from the airport to their Bus Terminal (the trips take 30 minutes). In the TurBus Terminal you have connection to Valdivia.  In the web pages you can ask for prices and schedules. To buy ticket several days before is recommended.

In Valdivia

For hotels in Valdivia ask in http://www.booking.com/Valdivia-Hoteles. If you arrive by plain, in the Valdivia airport take a transfer (minibus) to the hotel. The price is CLP 3.000. If you arrive by bus, take a taxi in the Bus Terminal. The price is lower than CLP 2.000.

To arrive to LACLO 2013

In the hotel take a taxi to Campus Miraflores, Universidad Austral de Chile and ask go to Pabellón Docente. The price is lower than CLP 2.000.
